The Rule of Law is against is a
group features lawyers and professors who found the
war of Iraq to be improper. There was unjust cause
for the invasion of Iraq and the overthrowing of an
independent government. There have been numerous
unconstitutional infractions which makes the war
unjust. The war in Iraq was never declared by
congress under the constitution of the United States
only congress has the right to declare war and for
the President to be the commander and chief not to
start the war.
There have been numerous lawyers who believe the war
should be stopped immediately because of the
financial constraints it’s forcing on the US
economy, the war has cost the US tax payers over a
trillion dollars, this is money the US does not have
and has borrowed from foreign countries to continue
the war.
What would happen to the US when the debt comes due?
Would the US print its way out of its debt problems
creating inflation, this will also have enormous
consequences for the citizens of the United States
and the world if the US decides to debase it’s
currency to continue a war they had no right to
start.

Iraq is unjust and should be stopped. With the total
cost of the war so far, the US could have forfeited
collection of $35,000 of tax collection from all
citizens in the United States. Furthermore with most
issues in spousal disputes and divorces resulting
from financial stresses that break up marriages, by
not having the war in Iraq, this may have even had
an indirect effect on divorces in the United States.
